BluTexts ("we," "us," or "our") operates the BluTexts platform, which includes the web application at app.blutexts.com, the API at api.blutexts.com, the BluTexts desktop agent, and the BluTexts for Go High Level Chrome extension (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register, we collect your name, email address, company name, and payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we never store your full card number).

Message Data

To provide the Service, we process iMessage conversations that pass through your connected device. This includes message text, sender and recipient phone numbers or email addresses, timestamps, delivery statuses, and attachments (images, voice messages, videos). Message content is stored encrypted at rest in our database and object storage.

Device & Connection Data

The BluTexts desktop agent reports the device name, iMessage handles (phone numbers and email addresses) registered on the device, and connection status (online/offline) to our servers.

Usage Data

We automatically collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. We use this data to maintain the Service and diagnose issues.

Third-Party Integrations

If you connect your Go High Level (GHL) account, we store your GHL OAuth tokens and location ID so we can sync messages and contacts between BluTexts and GHL. We access only the GHL scopes you authorize.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To operate and deliver the Service (sending, receiving, and syncing iMessages)
  • To process payments and manage your subscription
  • To sync messages and contacts with Go High Level when connected
  • To provide customer support
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents
  • To improve the Service based on aggregated, de-identified usage patterns

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as follows:

  • Stripe — payment processing (name, email, card details)
  • Go High Level — message and contact sync (only when you connect your GHL account)
  • Cloudflare (R2) — media attachment storage (voice messages, images, videos)
  • Railway — infrastructure hosting (servers, database)
  • Law enforcement — if required by valid legal process (subpoena, court order)

5. Data Retention

We retain your message data and account information for as long as your account is active. After account cancellation, we retain data for 30 days to allow for reactivation, then permanently delete it. You may request immediate deletion by contacting support@blutexts.com.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest for stored data, bcrypt password hashing, and short-lived JWT access tokens with rotating refresh tokens. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate personal data
  • Request deletion of your personal data
  • Export your data in a machine-readable format
  • Object to or restrict certain processing

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage to maintain your authentication session. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Your continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
